Local Park
Ponteland Park is a fantastic addition to the village with around 18 acres of green space, with natural woodland and paths that run alongside the River Pont that runs through it. The Park is very popular with dog walkers, nature lovers and those who wish to walk in a peaceful setting, enjoying the natural beauty of the region.
Visit Newcastle City
Ponteland is located just 15 minutes drive from Newcastle City Centre with good bus links also available.
There are many sites to see in the city of Newcastle such as the Tyne Bridge, the Discovery Museum and ‘St James Park’ the famous football ground.
You’ll be spoilt for choice when it comes to shops, restaurants and that famous ‘toon’ nightlife.
Matfen Hall
Rich in heritage and steeped in history, the magnificent country estate is a place to unwind and luxuriate your senses.

Newcastle United
St James’ Park is a football stadium in Newcastle upon Tyne, just 15 minutes from Ponteland. It is the home of Newcastle United. With a seating capacity of 52,305, it’s the 8th largest football stadium in England. Enjoy stadium tours to soaking up the atmosphere at a famous home game.
Visit Tynemouth
Breath taking beach with so much to do and see. You can take a short metro from Newcastle to Tynemouth Station on a Saturday or Sunday to visit the famous Tynemouth Market, where you can pick up toys, books, vintage clothing and bric and brac, alongside delicious street food and locally roasted coffee. Stroll along Main Street in Tynemouth and browse the independent shops, bars and cafes as you make your way to the sea. Drive to Tynemouth from Ponteland in just 25 minutes.
